For more than 127 years, AAUW members have examined and taken positions on the fundamental issues of the day — educational, social, economic, and political. Our commitment to our mission is reflected in all aspects of our work; from public policy advocacy, community programs, voter education campaigns, leadership development, conventions and conferences, and international connections.

AAUW members in North Texas are fortunate to enjoy membership in the North Texas Metroplex Interbranch Council. One of only two Councils in the state - the other is in Houston. Interbranch was created to open channels of communication among branches for sharing ideas and successes in enhancing and promotoing the program of AAUW.

Approximately 16 Branches in our area participate, and membership ranges from Tyler to Stephenville and from Greenville to Wichita Falls. Council members often discuss common interests in state and local government, and share ideas about activities which will encourage branch membership.
