North Texas InterBranch Council Programs 2010-2011:

The dates of the 2010-2011 meetings are currently set for Sept 18th, Nov 20th(Tarrant County), Jan 15th(Dallas), Mar 19th(Greenville), and May 21st(Plano), Sept2011(NETCo), Nov2011(SWDallas). (subject to change so check back periodically):

Saturday, May 21, 2011: Plano Harrington Library, Thelma Rice Sproules Room, 1501 18th Street, Plano, 972-941-7175. The library will not open until 10am so we will start a little later than usual at 10:15am. Our speaker will be Deidre Fulton, who will talk about Women's Financial Planning issues.

Completed North Texas InterBranch Council Programs 2010-2011:

Completed: Saturday, March 19th, 2011: Hosted by Greenville Branch at Mary of Puddin' Hill at 10:30am. Jackie Littleton, AAUW National Secretary will discussion AAUW National topics and Convention Update.

Completed: Saturday, January 15th, 2011: Hosted by Dallas County, Royal Lane Dallas County Public Library. Speaker is Dr. Suzanne Enck-Wanzer, Communications Dept UNT on The Resolana Project.

Completed: Saturday, November 20th: Interbranch will meet on Saturday, November 20th in Handley at Handley Methodist Church. Contact June Hill or Emelia Hoefle, Tarrant County Branch, for more information. A representative from Peacemakers, Inc. will be our speaker.

Completed: Saturday, September 18th: Interbranch will meet on Saturday, September 18th in Farmers Branch at Brookhaven College, Building S, Room 220.  Find a detailed map of campus on the college website.  S Building is directly in front of you as you enter from the light on Valley View.  Meetings will start at 10:00am with sign-in at 9:30am.  The meeting is open to all AAUW members. Our speaker will be Kristin Alder, a graduate student in Women's Studies at UNT.  She was one of 20 students chosen nationally to attend the UN Commission on the Status of Women's program, updating what's happened to the Beijing Platform 15 years after it was implemented.

Completed: New Interbranch Officers to be Installed. It's deja vu all over again! Marta Mountjoy hosts a Potluck Celebration as the North Texas Metroplex Interbranch Council installs its 2010-2012 Officers. The gathering is set for 10:00am on Saturday, May 15, 2010. AAUW Fellow Priyanka Kapoor, who is currently studying at UNT, will present "Challenging Barriers: Are We Ready Yet? (An Indian Perspective)".
